Macro Flake

Posted by seventhray (Wayland, United States) on 31 January 2007 in Plant & Nature.

This is not my Ultimate snowflake but I think it pretty cool so I decided to post it. If the background wasn't so cruddy and it was a little more sharper I might of considered it my "Ultimate Snowflake" but I just wasn't happy with the shot. I tried putting a PSP frame on it and it didn't work either. So I decided to leave as is and post it so everyone could see how cool snowflakes look up close. I will still keep working on the Ultimate snowflake macro but for now I am going to try and get a shot of a snow devil. I don't like the idea of standing out in wind chills that are in the single digits but they look so cool I have to try and get one! I will post more shots tomorrow.

Oh wow I wanted to take a Macro shot like this on the weekend but the snow that was falling wasn't flakes. Thank you for showing me this. It has inspired me to do so this coming weekend.
