Aftermath

Posted by seventhray (Wayland, United States) on 18 November 2006 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is the other side of the street. Its not one of my favorites but I wanted to show you as best I could how menacing this storm was.

At one point during the storm it got real dark, the TV went blank (because I lost satilite signal) and the wind started blowing so hard. I have never heard anything like it. It was loud and tree branches were falling on the roof, the rain was going sideways..... This lasted maybe a couple of minutes and then it was gone. Now I know what I experienced pales in comparison to what some people went through but what freaked me out was through all that wind not one thing on the ground had been moved! The lawn chairs were in their place, tarps were in there place..... The wind was all in the upper part of the trees and above, it barely blew on the ground level. And it sounded like something big rolling by. Hmmm.

I will post another storm photo tomorrow!
